Mentoring Visit

After registration you will have received an email with a unique username and password. Once you have reviewed the Schools Handbook and decided to pursue your Montessori Accreditation, you can use the username and password to access the next stage of the application process - the Mentor Visit.

Upon entering the applicants' area of the website, you will be able to pay for your Mentor visit and receive the necessary forms to start your application. You will also have exclusive access to documents that will support and guide you through the application process.

Once we have received payment, the Montessori Accreditation Co-ordinator will assign a Mentor to you, who will be responsible for supporting you through the self-assessment process and for assisting you with guidance on implementing and monitoring the effects of change, starting with a full day of consultation. This includes help with action planning and advice on how to set up an in-house mentoring process to support colleagues.

You will be asked to nominate a colleague to act as an In-House Mentor. Your Mentor will give your elected In-House Mentor a short training session. You will also have access to further training and support via the exclusive members' area. Furthermore, you will have access to your Mentor during the entire accreditation process via email and telephone.

Towards the end of the Mentor Visit, the Mentor will sit down with you and agree what the next stage of your application will be. You will both decide whether you will need further visits or whether you can proceed directly to an assessment visit.
